Having a jukebox is one thing, but there are so many cool accessories that are available. Many jukebox owners in the fifties (and today) have a remote control called a wallbox. These were placed in bars and cafes to make it easy for the customers to request a song on the jukebox. They had to insert some money in the wallbox and then select the song they wanted to hear. This avoided lines in front of the jukebox and increased the revenues for the owner.
Of course the tracks on the wallbox were the same as on the jukebox.
Sometimes the volume of the jukebox couldn't fill the entire room of a bar/cafe and extra speakers were placed. These speakers were beautiful designed eyecatchers and were a big advantage for the owner.
They could dim the volume of the speaker next to the bar and turn up the volume at the dancefloor.
Or when there wasn't enough room for a jukebox, they placed a 'hideaway' (jukebox) in the basement and only the speakers in the bar. The jukebox was controlled by the various wallboxes at the tables.
